I enjoy creating visual narratives of everyday life. I am a people watcher and look for the deeper meanings behind the words or for the words unspoken that hang in the air.

Grandpa Jake's Barbershop 1938

The first grandpa Jake painting had shown nationally, won the best painting award from Mark Pachtor of the Smithsonian, was published in Harpers, reviewed in the Boston Globe and then stolen at LAX.  I have since created 7 new versions in my grandfather's honor.  This version received a favorable review last year in Flavorpill, an online artist magazine.  The painting was curated by Ann Philbin in the Open Show for Gallery 825 in Dec.2006.  Barbershop 7 is new as well. I  love to sit in cafes and other public settings to capture the visual narratives around me.
