Wash Away
Wash Away (surgery series) is my desire to wash away how I feel about my body. I had a pro-active double mastectomy in 1994 due to many biopsies thru the years. I was fibrocystic and have a history of breast cancer on my mother's side. I came up positive for the BRCA test and my cell count was off. I am the first on my mother's side of the family to get past 53.I have had to have re-do surgeries about every 10 years to replace implants. Not pleasant. This is about washing away my outer scars to a self acceptance and to let other women know they are not alone.
